HEARD

A row of two-story brick apartment buildings with small covered porches and black railings. Blue recycling bins are on the sidewalk, and bare trees stand nearby under a blue sky.

Why We’re Sharing This:

Public housing is often discussed in policy terms, but rarely centered in personal narrative. HEARD brings forward the voices of residents navigating structural challenges while building community and resilience. RVA Rising believes durable solutions require listening to lived experience alongside data. This documentary deepens our understanding of how systems impact daily life— and why resident voice must shape future housing strategies.
